The surgical drill technology platform will be presented at two upcoming orthopedic conferences.
Because of increased demand by Hand and Plastic surgeons for the BioAccess Small Bone Tool (surgical drill/surgical handpiece), BioAccess will participate at the Hand Rehabilitation Foundation's annual symposium The Philadelphia Meeting, Hand Surgery Symposium. The conference is held in Philadelphia, March 14-16, 2008.
BioAccess will launch the Wire Fixation Kits at these meetings. The Wire Fixation Kits will be similar to the Traction Pin Kits, containing the Small Bone Tool in addition to all the needed components for a specific procedure in a specific location. Both Hand and Plastic surgeons have demanded the Small Bone Tool and Wire Fixation Kits for specific procedures. The procedures include various upper extremity fixations. The physicians are requesting for the Small Bone Tool and Wire Fixation Kits for use in surgical centers, procedure rooms, emergency departments, and operating rooms. Physicians are aware of the cost effectiveness of the BioAccess surgical drill and convenience kits, and are additionally pleased with the ergonomics, weight, and convenience of the Small Bone Tool over the standard surgical drill.
BioAccess will also participate in the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) on March 5-8, 2008 in San Francisco. The BioAccess family of surgical drill products will be presented. This includes the Small Bone Tool, Traction Pin Kits, Wire Fixation Kits and the traction equipment (Disposable Traction Bow, Extension Line with Water Weight Bag).
